Face yoga is essentially a set of exercises that aim to eliminate wrinkles and sagging skin by working the facial muscles. Face Yoga Techniques by Area
Lip Area
- To eliminate wrinkles around your lips, first take a deep breath, fill your mouth with air and hold.
- Hold this position for about 20 seconds, then do another set to complete the exercise.
- This simple exercise, when performed regularly, helps reduce lines above your lips.
Neck and Lower Cheek
- First, tilt your head back so that you are looking up.
- As you tilt your head back, you will feel the muscles in your neck tighten.
- Once your muscles are tense, purse your lips and form a kissing position.
- Hold this position for approximately 20 seconds.
- You can do this exercise in three sets of 20 seconds.
- This will tighten your worked and tense neck muscles and strengthen your lower cheek muscles.
Eyebrow Area
- Raise your eyebrows and hold them steady with your index fingers.
- Massage your eyebrows with slow, circular movements while holding them.
- Take a break for about 5 minutes, then continue with the same movements.
- If your eyebrows appear droopy, you can increase their lift with this 15-minute exercise every day.
Cheek Area
- To reduce sagging in the cheek area, first apply the moisturizer that you are using to your cheeks.
- Then, using four fingers of each hand, lift your cheeks upwards, in the direction of your cheekbones.
- After lifting them up, massage them in circular motions.
- Make sure your face is in a smiling position while performing these exercises.
- You can do three sets of the exercise daily for a total of 20 minutes to reduce sagging.
Forehead Area
- To tighten your forehead and prevent sagging, first try stretching it with both hands on either side of your forehead.
- After stretching both sides of your forehead, raise and lower your eyebrows.
- In this position, raise and lower your eyebrows approximately 20 times and continue doing two sets.
- This exercise increases blood flow to the forehead, reducing wrinkles and creating more tension in the forehead.
Neck Area
- First, push your chin and lower lip forward.
- Then, tilt your head back, place your tongue on your upper palate and lift your chin upward.
- Hold this position for approximately 10 seconds, gently massaging your neck.
- After completing this set, return to the starting position and push your chin and lower lip forward again.
- Then, turn your head to the left.
- As in the first set, place your tongue on your upper palate and tilt your head back.
- Then, lift your chin up, tighten it and hold for approximately 10 seconds.
- After 10 seconds, exhale and return to the starting position.
- Finally, repeat the same exercise, turning your head to the right.
- You can repeat each set three times to tighten your neck.
Eye Area
- First, place your palms on your forehead, covering your eyes.
- Then, raise and lower your eyebrows.
- Do not forget to breathe deeply while doing this exercise.
- Then, look down, tighten your eyelids and then frown, holding your breath for 10 seconds.
- Repeat this exercise three times to help reduce lines around your eyes.
