With its natural harbor, sheltered structure and commanding position, Samsun, the pearl of the Black Sea, is a captivating city. However, Samsun is not just about its unique natural beauty. It is known to have been a significant destination for many civilizations throughout the ages. The affluent historical and cultural heritage of the city is showcased to visitors through its museums. Here are the museums you need to visit in Samsun if you happen to be in Samsun.

On his second visit to Samsun, between September 20 to 24, 1924, the building was gifted to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk by the people of Samsun.
