Resuming the hospitality services from where they left off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Elite World Hotels took all measures necessary for a healthy and safe environment and, as a result, has been awarded with the “Safe Tourism Certificate” - an initiative that started under the lead of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
With its Elite World Sapanca Convention & Wellness Resort, Elite World Marmaris and Elite World Istanbul hotels, the hospitality chain took its tourism activities to the top with the “Safe Tourism Certificate”. The certificate came as a result of Elite World Hotels meeting the requirements stated under the “Evaluation criteria for the COVID-19 and hygiene practices to be followed during the pandemic in stay facilities and the food & beverage units in such facilities” determined within the framework of the certification program recommended by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency.
Elite World CEO Ünsal Şınık said that they prepared for the new period with utmost care in line with the directives announced by the World Health Organization for the hospitality sector and the statements and recommendations by the Turkish Ministry of Health’s Science Committee. He also underlined that they will continue to work with the same awareness to ensure the sustainability of this certification and their top level precautions.
Elite World Hotels actively maintains its audits and assessments in this new period with its Elite World Care team (COVID-19 Anti-Risk Team) consisting of 12 specialists. Elite World Sapanca Convention & Wellness Resort and Elite World Marmaris Hotel not only reduced their total guest capacity by 50 percent to allow social distancing but also ensured wider and more spacious areas for a safer holiday experience.
