1. Cordon Bleu

Cordon bleu

Maybe you can’t take your loved one to Paris on Valentine’s Day, but you can bring Paris cuisine home for them. Here’s the recipe for a very delicious Cordon bleu!

Ingredients:

  • 5 chicken breast fillets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grounded black peppercorn
  • 10 slices of kashar cheese
  • 5 slices of calf ham

To fry:

  • 2 eggs
  • Half a glass of flour
  • 1 glass of crumbs bread
  • 4 tbsp sunflower oil

How to make: Clean the boneless chicken breasts and wash them with plenty of water. Carefully dry them and using a knife, cut them in the middle. Careful not to cut them all the way across since you’ll be stuffing their insides. Thin them out a bit using a meat mallet and season them using salt and black pepper. Then place a slice of cheese in the middle of them each. Then on top, place a slice of calf ham and then close it with another slice of cheese. Mallet the edges and then close the chicken breasts. Before frying the chicken, whisk the eggs in a wide bowl and prepare the flour and crumbs bread in different plates. Dip the breasts in flour, egg yolk and crumbs bread in both sides, and then fry them. When you’re done frying, you can slice the breasts to serve!

2. Crêpe Canapés

Crêpe canapés is a very delicious and stylish appetizer for a Valentine’s Day dinner! Here is the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 glass of water
  • Half a glass of milk
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil

For the inner base:

  • 150 grams of smoked salmon
  • 200 grams of cream cheese
  • 4 sprigs of parsley
  • 8 chives
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grounded black peppercorn

How to make: To prepare the dough for the crepe, crack the eggs into a deep bowl and whisk them after adding some sunflower oil, water and milk. Add in flour and salt and homogenize the mixture using a mixer. Pre-grease your burnproof and non-sticking frying pan, and put about a ladle’s worth of crepe dough into it. After preparing your crepes in this way, take them into service plates and leave them for cooling down.

For filling, very finely chop the parsley and chives, and in another bowl, mix the cream cheese, chopped green vegetables and the black pepper. Slice open the smoked salmon like a leaf. First top the crepes with the cream cheese mixture, then place the smoked salmon slices, and then roll the crepes. Then slice them to make rings before putting a toothpick through to hold them together. Bon Appétit!
