With the coronavirus pandemic is under control, a normalization process begins in Turkey. So the restrictions are stretching out. While hygiene measures against coronavirus continue, there is a lot to be done in business life. Experts often state that the risk factor in the outbreak is continuing. The outbreak is not over, so it is vital to take measures even if we return to business life. So what measures should the working people take in the normalization process? Here are the new normals of the employees!
Using the mask
As the coronavirus transmits through the respiratory tract, the use of a mask is vital. It is not a luxury, but a necessity, for the workers to use masks even if they are in contact with the least people. The Ministry of Health has already made it mandatory to use masks at workplaces. So, after returning to work, you should take care to use protective materials such as masks and visors.
Social distance rule
If you are working, one of the measures you should take during this period is to follow the social distance rule with your colleagues and customers. In this regard, there are circulars sent to the workplaces opened by the ministry. You should not be close to people by following the social distance rule during your study period. You should continue to apply coronavirus measures with mutual understanding.
As little contact as possible
Another precaution you should take is to have as little contact with people and objects. Regardless of the work you do, contactless methods should be preferred. For example, if you are a cleaning staff, the contents of the garbage can be emptied without being touched. As with the responsibility of the employers, you can take similar measures within a personal framework.
We all now understand how important hand hygiene is in protection from coronavirus. The employees need to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before entering the workplace. In this regard, employers are required to make necessary warnings to their employees. If you don't have access to soap or water, clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand disinfectant.
Avoid using elevators
One of the measures to take during the normalization process is not to use the elevator as much as possible. These areas, which are weak ventilation, are known to pose serious risks. Even if it is compulsory, the number of suitable people should be limited to elevators. It should be ensured that the contacted surfaces are disinfected.
Careful use of common areas
Hygiene of common areas such as toilets, bathrooms and sinks is very important. So, workers should use it in their workplaces after ensuring that necessary hygiene is provided. Similarly, it is necessary to have the required cleaning materials to provide hygiene.
Preventing contact between work clothes and external clothes
We know that coronavirus can survive for a long time on inanimate items such as our clothes. Thus, experts stated that the clothes worn outside should be removed and disinfected as soon as we come to the house. In the normalization process, cautions should be taken in this regard. Employees should keep their work clothes and other clothes in separate places without touching them. They also should not touch their work clothes and surfaces in their homes.
